PLOTBASE Solution for Embedded Controllers
Embedded or on-board controllers for wide format copiers provide a 'computerless' networked solution that is adequate for plotting one-at-a-tme drawings or push scanning to a folder or mailbox. In general, an embedded solution is an easier to use interface with less plotting or scanning controls than a high production environment such as a print-for-pay or large engineering firm requires. While the embedded controller workflow provides the hardware connection required between the network users and the wide format copier, throughput performance or the ability to perform certain batch plotting or production scanning tasks may be lacking depending on a user's needs or expectations.
RATIO's 'PM' solution provides: additional user tools, RIP pre-processing of files and controls to enhance batch plotting & production scanning plus image editing capabilities.
PLOTBASE for Ricoh GW Embedded
Add the traditional client/server copy/paste batch plotting & high speed PDF RIP capabilities to the GW embedded configured RW-2400/3600, RW5100/7140 or MP W3601copier. Utilizing the processing speed and control of an external PC, PLOTBASE|PM-GW will provide the software workflow & interface of the traditional PLOTBASE|3 or PLOTBASE|5.5 product, with additional expanded features such as multiple wide format devices controlled within one application, expanded tracking / accounting capabilities and more.
